Phenomenological analysis of multi-pseudoscalar mediated dark matter models

چکیده

A bstract Non-minimal simplified extensions of the Standard Model have gained considerable currency in context dark matter searches at LHC, since they predict enhanced mono-Higgs and mono- W/Z signatures over large parts parameter space. However, these non-minimal models obviously lack simplicity directness original models, are more heavily dependent on model assumptions. We propose to classify generically basis additional mediator(s) particles. As an example, we take up a scenario involving multiple pseudoscalar mediators, single Dirac particle, latter being popular introduction ensure ultraviolet completion theories with fields. In chosen scenario, discuss viable channels relevance future runs LHC. These then compared minimal scenarios distinguishing features pinpointed.

Investigating pseudoscalar and scalar dark matter

In this paper another class of Dark Matter candidate particles: the pseu-doscalar and scalar light bosonic candidates, is discussed. Particular care is devoted to the study of the processes for their detection (which only involves electrons and photons/X-rays) in a suitable underground experimental setup. For this purpose the needed calculations are developed and various related aspects and phe...

Phenomenological Introduction to Direct Dark Matter Detection

The dark matter of our galactic halo may be constituted by elementary particles that interact weakly with ordinary matter (WIMPs). In spite of the very low counting rates expected for these dark matter particles to scatter off nuclei in a laboratory detector, such direct WIMP searches are possible and are experimentally carried out at present. An introduction to the theoretical ingredients ente...

Dark matter with pseudoscalar-mediated interactions explains the DAMA signal and the galactic center excess.

We study a Dirac dark matter particle interacting with ordinary matter via the exchange of a light pseudoscalar, and analyze its impact on both direct and indirect detection experiments. We show that this candidate can accommodate the long-standing DAMA modulated signal and yet be compatible with all exclusion limits at 99(S)% C.L. This result holds for natural choices of the pseudoscalar-quark...

Cold Dark Matter Models

Motivated by inflation, the theory of big-bang nucleosynthesis and the quest for a deeper understanding of the fundamental forces and particles, a very successful paradigm for the development of structure in the Universe has evolved. It holds that most of the matter exists in the form of slowly moving elementary particles left over from the earliest moments (cold dark matter or CDM) and that th...

Comments on " Dark Matter: a Phenomenological Existence Proof "

A recent paper by Ahluwalia-Khalilova [1] is examined where he claims that the standard FRW cosmology with a Λ predicts existence of dark matter without invoking the data on galactic rotation curves and gravitational lensing. However, we find that his claims are not correct. He has already assumed (without realizing) in the very outset what he wants to prove. PACS numbers: 98.80.Bp, 98.80.Jk Re...
